Asthma Information
If your child has asthma, there are several things we can do to help at school. Your child may have their inhaler at school. At the elementary age all medicine including inhalers are kept in the clinic. Your child may come to the clinic and use their inhaler when ever they need it. It will also be sent on all Field Trips with their teacher. We also have a nebulizer at school. You will just need to provide the mask or pipe, tubing and the prescribed medicine. We also ask that you fill out an Asthma Action Plan and an Asthma Parent Questionnaire and bring them to me. These forms are standard for every school in CSISD and will need to be filled out yearly. This will help us know the treatment plan your doctor has prescribed for maintenance and in case of emergency! Your child's medical condition will also be communicated to their teacher so he/she will be aware and alert to any signs and symptoms that would be important to their care. I am always in the clinic or available by radio. Our campus is small enough that I can get anywhere very quickly should your child need assistance.
